Recently Sentai Filmworks and Bandai Entertainment were both listed as Licensed Distributors for the anime series Sola. Apparently, a clerical error resulted in Sola being relicensed to Sentai when Bandai's license clearly had not run out. Bandai and Sentai released a joint statement, saying that Bandai is indeed the correct distributor and that Sentai's license is void.
Companies need to pay more attention to who holds a license when they go to a distributor. Because of what is likely misfiled paperwork, a whole argument broke out over who is the right license-holder. Hopefully this won't happen in the future...
