Review: Kore wa Zombie desu ka? 6

She means business... I think.

Everyone's favorite zombie with a (pink) chainsaw is back, and his un-life is still on the line! Can looking pretty triumph over a psychopathic serial killer?  Is Ayumu still a piece of sh*t?  Will Dai-sensei get his kyo-tofu?  All Most At least one of these questions will be answered this week.  Along with other zombie antics, of course.

Chainsaws, yandere zombies and more after the break!

It seems the one person the serial killer was waiting for has arrived.  Yuu, Ayumu's necromancer friend is here.  First thing she does? Take the pink chainsaw and text-incant the henshin incantation.  Now Yuu is a Masou-Shoujo. Magic is consumed by stronger magic, and Yuu's magic is strongest.  So strong, in fact, that she can end someone's life by uttering a single word.  That word is, predictably, "die".  Of course, the serial killer seems to have infinite lives, so that word doesn't matter.  Everyone, and I mean everyone, comes to Yuu's aid.  Of course, none of THAT matters when the serial killer commits seppuku.  But does she stay dead?  Of course not.  Afterwards, Ayumu transforms and cuts the living hell out of the serial killer.  With a pink chainsaw.  Pink chainsaw.  Kills serial killers dead.  Afterwards, Dai-sensei shows up and ponders what went wrong.  We soon find out as the the dead killer isn't quite dead yet.  "The king of the night" is what went wrong.  Who is this?  Guess we'll find out, won't we?

Such a thrilling conclusion to a two-part episode is always nice, and this one delivered.  We discover more about Yuu, and I have a feeling she's going to play a key role in the second half of the season.  The dialogue was very well-written.  Any weirdness in the dialogue, I blame on Crunchyroll's subtitles.  The animation was spectacular.  I don't know how else to put it.

My only real complaint is a moot point, but there a lot more blood than I'm really comfortable with.  I'm also not too fond of how Yuu is turning into a God Mode character.  She's nigh invulnerable and can bring you back to life.  Just look at how much it took to knock her out cold.  I hope she's given some sort of weakness in the second half, because it's no fun to have an invincible character with no weaknesses to attack for massive damage.

Overall, another great episode.  Gore complaints aside, the conclusion to the fight was epic, the writing was great, the animation was superb, and Yuu kicks ass.  Masou-Shoujo necromancer.  Kills anything dead.  All while never changing her facial expression.  Yet she's different from Kyubey.  Somehow.  I'm marking this one down as a "will finish".
